Hello

I’m Leilani, a California licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) who provides trauma-informed counseling for children, adolescents, and adults. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can feel safe to explore what you’re going through at your own pace. My work focuses on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, and the impact of difficult or overwhelming life experiences. I also integrate EMDR and other evidence-based approaches to support healing, emotional regulation, and meaningful change.

My Story

My path to becoming a therapist began in education, where I spent over 15 years working closely with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of school settings. Over time, I found myself especially drawn to the moments where learning and behavior intersected with something deeper—grief, trauma, anxiety, and the lived experiences individuals were carrying with them into their environments.

That curiosity and commitment to understanding the whole person eventually led me into clinical work, where I expanded my experience in grief and end-of-life care through hospice. In that setting, I had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through pre-bereavement and post-loss experiences. Sitting with people in some of life’s most vulnerable moments reinforced my belief in the importance of presence, compassion, and making space for both pain and healing.

Alongside this work, I’ve supported service members, military families, and veterans as they navigated the unique challenges of military life—including deployments, reintegration, PTSD and the transitions and barriers that can follow military discharge. These experiences deepened my understanding of resilience, identity, and the complexity of adapting to change across different life stages.

What has remained constant throughout my journey is my belief that healing happens in safe, authentic relationships. My work is rooted in honoring each person’s story while supporting them in finding steadiness, meaning, and connection—no matter where they are starting from.
